- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup almond meal
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 - egg
- 3 tablespoons dark molasses
- 1 cup cream
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon allspice, ground
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- 1 pinch kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon orange extract
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate morsels
- 1/8 cup cranberries, dried
- 1/8 cup currants, dried
- 1/4 cup whole almonds, blanched
- - apricot jam
- - boysenberry, raspberry, or blueberry jam
- - colored sugar crystals, optional
- - powdered sugar

Step 1Mix the first 14 ingredients in a mixing bowl. Blend well.

Step 2Then fold in berries, chocolate, and almonds.

Step 3Pour half the batter into a tin sprayed with Baker's Joy.

Step 4Then spread alternately stripes of apricot and boysenberry jam, keeping a half an inch from the edge of the pie.

Step 5Pour the rest of the batter atop.

Step 6Bake at 325F until cooked throughout, about 20 minutes.

Step 7Wait about 10-15 minutes, then remove from tin onto cake stand.

Step 8Optionally sprinkle with powdered sugar.
