Ingredients

3/4 cflour

1/2 calmond meal

1 cdark brown sugar

1egg
-
3 Tbspdark molasses

1 ccream

1/4 coil
-
1 Tbspcinnamon

1 tspginger
-
1 tspallspice, ground

1 Tbspbaking soda

1 pinchkosher salt
-
1 Tbsporange extract
-
1 Tbsporange zest
-
1/2 cdark chocolate morsels

1/8 ccranberries, dried

1/8 ccurrants, dried
-
1/4 cwhole almonds, blanched

·apricot jam
-
·boysenberry, raspberry, or blueberry jam

·colored sugar crystals, optional

·powdered sugar
How to Make Christmas Jam Torte - Chocolate Winterberry Almond
- Mix the first 14 ingredients in a mixing bowl. Blend well.
- Then fold in berries, chocolate, and almonds.
- Pour half the batter into a tin sprayed with Baker's Joy.
- Then spread alternately stripes of apricot and boysenberry jam, keeping a half an inch from the edge of the pie.
- Pour the rest of the batter atop.
- Bake at 325F until cooked throughout, about 20 minutes.
- Wait about 10-15 minutes, then remove from tin onto cake stand.
- Optionally sprinkle with powdered sugar.
