Ingredients

  • 15 ounces dulce de leche
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups brewed coffee or espresso
  • 2-3 packages chocolate biscuit cookies
  • TRY OREO'S WITH THE MIDDLES SCRAPED OUT, GOYA CHOCOLATE MARIAS, OR CHOCOLATE BELVITA'S.

How To Make chocotorta

  • Step 1
In a bowl, mix most of the dulce de leche and all the softened cream cheese until they’re completely combined. It should be a light caramel color. Taste and adjust until you achieve the ratio of your dreams!
  • Step 2
Pour the coffee into in a shallow dish. Dip each cookie one by one into the coffee, then place them in a single layer in a 9x13 baking dish until the bottom is fully covered. Break cookies if you need to fit them into the pan.
  • Step 3
Spoon over a good glop of the cream cheese & dulce de leche mixture and spread it evenly across the cookies. Top that with another layer of coffee soaked cookies and continue until you reach the top of the dish or you run out of ingredients. Make sure the top layer is cream cheese/dulce de leche..
  • Step 4
Finish off with a good dusting of cocoa powder. Set in the fridge for upwards of four hours, or until ready to serve.
