chocolate wacky cake w/peanut butter frosting

This is a favorite of my family...so easy and soooo good!! :)

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 6 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

How To Make chocolate wacky cake w/peanut butter frosting

  • Step 1
    Put all ingredients into a large mixing bowl and beat with mixer until smooth. It's that easy!! Pour into a greased 9x13 cake pan. (I just use cooking spray for the pan)Bake in a 350 degree oven for 40 to 42 minutes until a tooth pick comes out clean.
  • Step 2
    For Peanut Butter Frosting. 2 cups sifted confectioners sugar, 1 stick of butter(no substitutes) 1/4 cup shortening, 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat together till smooth. Add 3/4 to 1 cup peanut butter(to your taste) Beat until smooth. Frost cooled cake...sprinkle with mini semi-sweet chips. Serve
