Ingredients
- 2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
- 6 tablespoons butter, melted
- 14 ounces bag caramels
- 1 can evaporated milk, 5 ounces
- 1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
- 16 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 can semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
How To Make chocolate turtle cheesecake

Step 1Combine crumbs and butter, press onto bottom and sides of 9-inch spring-form pan.

Step 2Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Step 3In 1 1/2-quart heavy saucepan, melt caramels with milk over low heat, stirring frequently, until smooth.

Step 4Pour over crust.

Step 5Top with pecans.

Step 6Combine cream cheese, sugar and vanilla, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended.

Step 7Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Step 8Blend in chocolate, pour over pecans.

Step 9Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.

Step 10Loosen cake from rim of pan; cool before removing rim of pan.

Step 11Chill.

Step 12Garnish with whipped cream, additional chopped nuts and maraschino cherries, if desired.
