My nephews love chocolate so I decided to change my sock it to me recipe to a chocolate cake . They loved it so I make it often for them.
The glaze is optional.

Ingredients

  • ·
    1 pkg chocolate cake mix
  • ·
    1 c chopped pecans
  • ·
    1/4 c brown sugar
  • ·
    4 eggs
  • ·
    1 c sour cream
  • ·
    1/3 c vegetable oil
  • ·
    1/4 c water
  • ·
    1 c cup powdered sugar
  • ·
    3-4 tablespoons milk,more or less to drizzle consistency
  • ·
    1 teaspoon vanilla

How to Make Chocolate Sock it to me Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan.
    Combine 2 tablespoons cake mix, pecans and brown sugar in medium bowl for streusel filling . Set aside.
    Combine remaining cake mix, eggs, sour cream , oil and water in large bowl. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour two-thirds of batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle with streusel filling. Spoon remaining batter evenly over filling.
    Bake 45 to 55 minutes . Cool in pan 25 minutes. Invert onto cooling rack. Cool completely.
    Mix powdered sugar,vanilla and milk . Drizzle over cake.
