white or yellow cake mix

maraschino cherries
1 lrg box
chocolate instant pudding
16 oz
frozen whipped topping, thawed

How to Make Chocolate Smothered Cherry Cake


  • 1Prepare and bake cake mix according to package directions
  • 2When cake is cooled, poke holes in it with the handle of a wooden spoon. (evenly spaced)
  • 3In those holes put 1/2 a maraschino cherry.
  • 4Make Instant pudding according to package directions. Pour over cake making sure to coat the whole cake.
  • 5Spread thawed whipped topping on cake. Drizzle with cherry juice (optional) I think it's pretty.
    Cover and efrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
