Ingredients
- 1 box white or yellow cake mix
- 1 jar maraschino cherries
- 1 lrg box chocolate instant pudding
- 16 ounces frozen whipped topping, thawed
How To Make chocolate smothered cherry cake

Step 1Prepare and bake cake mix according to package directions

Step 2When cake is cooled, poke holes in it with the handle of a wooden spoon. (evenly spaced)

Step 3In those holes put 1/2 a maraschino cherry.

Step 4Make Instant pudding according to package directions. Pour over cake making sure to coat the whole cake.

Step 5Spread thawed whipped topping on cake. Drizzle with cherry juice (optional) I think it's pretty. Cover and efrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
