Chocolate Sheetcake

This cake is a family favorite. It's chocolate, it's fast and it's big....can't beat it! :)
Ingredients

2 csugar
-
2 cflour
-
1 tspbaking soda
-
2 stickbutter
-
4level tablespoons cocoa
-
1 cwater
-
1/2 cbuttermilk
-
2eggs
-
1 tspvanilla
-
FROSTING
-
START THIS AS SOON AS YOU PUT THE CAKE IN THE OVEN!

1 boxpowdered sugar, or 4 1/2 cups

1 tspvanilla
-
1 cpecans (optional)
-
1/2 ccoconut is optional
-
1 stickbutter
-
4 Tbspcocoa
-
6 Tbspbuttermilk
How to Make Chocolate Sheetcake
- Mix sugar, flour and soda together and set aside.
- Melt 2 sticks butter, 1 cup of water and 4 level tablespoons cocoa until boiling. Pour over dry mixture. Mix well - I don't use my mixer - it's easy to mix by hand.
- Add buttermilk and mix. Then add egg and vanilla.
Pour into a prepared sheet cake pan and bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
Frost immediately after taking out of the oven. - Frosting: Melt together and bring to a boil: 1 stick margarine, 4 TBS cocoa, 6 TBS. buttermilk.
Pour over powdered sugar, add vanilla and pecans. I use coconut sometimes, but not always. This is just as good without pecans and coconut.
