How To Make chocolate sheetcake
-
Step 1Mix sugar, flour and soda together and set aside.
-
Step 2Melt 2 sticks butter, 1 cup of water and 4 level tablespoons cocoa until boiling. Pour over dry mixture. Mix well - I don't use my mixer - it's easy to mix by hand.
-
Step 3Add buttermilk and mix. Then add egg and vanilla. Pour into a prepared sheet cake pan and bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes. Frost immediately after taking out of the oven.
-
Step 4Frosting: Melt together and bring to a boil: 1 stick margarine, 4 TBS cocoa, 6 TBS. buttermilk. Pour over powdered sugar, add vanilla and pecans. I use coconut sometimes, but not always. This is just as good without pecans and coconut.
