Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons hershey's cocoa
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • ICING
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 6 tablespoons milk
  • 3 tablespoons hershey's cocoa

How To Make chocolate sheet cake

  • Step 1
    In a saucepan, mix one stick margarine, 3 tablespoons cocoa, and the water. Pour over flour and sugar. Mix.
  • Step 2
    Add the eggs.
  • Step 3
    Mix the baking soda and vanilla extract with the buttermilk. Add to the mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Melt remaining margarine, cocoa, powdered sugar, milk, and pecans together. Pour over hot cake. Spread icing fast before it hardens.
