- CREAM TOGETHER SUGAR AND SHORTENING OR BUTTER ADD EGGS MIX WELL, THEN ADD VANILLA SALT AND COCOA
- SIFT TOGETHER FLUR BAKING SODA AND BAKING POWDER
- ALTERNATING ADD FLOUR MIXTURE AND WATER
FOLD IN KRAUT BY HAND - BAKE IN GREASED AND FLOURED 13 X 9 PAN BAKE 35-45 MIN AT 350 DEGREES TILL TOOTHPICK COMES OUT CLEAN
FROST WITH FAVORITE CHOCOLATE FROSTING - BE VERY CAREFUL TO RINSE AND DRAIN AND CHOP THE SAUERKRAUT DON'T NEED MORE THAN 1/2 CUP OF IT
