Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3 cups sugar
- 5 - eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon instant coffee powder
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
How To Make chocolate pound cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cook in an angel food pan. If you use a Bundt pan, you will need two.

Step 2Cream butter and shortening. Gradually add sugar until fluffy.

Step 3Add eggs one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.

Step 4Gradually add dry ingredients while alternately adding milk. Once mixed add vanilla. Pour batter into a floured angel food pan. Bake.
