1 box butter cake-mix (minus 2/3 cup. set aside)

1 1/2 cups karo syrup
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 1/2 cups chopped pecans
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup cake mix (from above)
1 package (6 ounces)chocolate chips

How To Make chocolate pecan pie cake

Step 1

Pour over baked layer and bake for 45 minutes at 325 degrees. If center has not set by then,turn off oven and let set for 10 - 15 mintues. Remove,let cool and serve.
