Ingredients
- CAKE:
- 3/4 cup butter
- 4 - eggs
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2/3 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour, sifted
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- FROSTING:
- 1 stick butter, softened
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 pound powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
How To Make chocolate peanut butter cake

Step 1For the cake: Cream butter, eggs, sugar, and vanilla. Add peanut butter and sour cream. Mix well. Gradually add flour, cocoa, and baking powder. Blend well at medium speed. Pour in a greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool completely.

Step 2For the frosting: Blend butter and cream cheese well. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth. Spread on cool cake.

Step 3Note: For a peanut butter frosting, instead of the butter, add 1/2 cup of peanut butter.
