I made a fat-free hot fudge cake recipe filled with rolled oats. Try it with the lite maple frosting.

Ingredients

  • CAKE
  • 2 - dark chocolate bars, chopped
  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 1/2 cups almond milk
  • 3 - egg whites
  • 3/4 cup canola oil
  • 1 package instant chocolate pudding mix (3.5 oz)
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce
  • 1 cup quick cooking rolled oats
  • LITE MAPLE FROSTING
  • 1 package light whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 16 ounces light cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 3/4 cup light maple syrup

How To Make hot fudge oatmeal cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 13x9 inch baking pan. Sprinkle with dark chocolate pieces.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, combine cake mix, almond milk, egg whites, canola oil and pudding mix with an electric mixer at low speed for 5 minutes until moistened.
  • Step 3
    Add hot fudge sauce and rolled oats. Beat again for 3 minutes on high speed. Pour into a prepared baking pan.
  • Step 4
    Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted the center comes out clean. Cool completely.
  • Step 5
    To make the lite maple frosting, combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and whisk together for 3 minutes until smooth.
  • Step 6
    Spread the frosting onto the cooled cake.
