2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 cup cocoa
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup strong coffee
1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make chocolate mayonnaise cake

Step 1

Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl, tossing lightly with a spoon to mix.

Step 2

Combine the mayonnaise, coffee, and vanilla in a smaller bowl; add to the dry ingredients, beating with the mixer on medium for three minutes.
Step 3

Generously grease a baking pan, then dust with cocoa.
Step 4

Bake at 350 degrees -- For a layer cake, bake 20 minutes; for a sheet cake, bake 25 minutes; for a bundt cake, bake 45 minutes.
