This was my aunt's recipe and a favorite of the cousins. So good!

Ingredients

    squares melted unsweeten chocolate or 1/4cup cocoa
  • 1 c
    hot water
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 small
    chocolate pudding
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    mayonaise
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 c
    self rising flour

How to Make Chocolate Mayo Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt chocolate. In large mixing bowl add chocolate or cocoa, hot water, eggs, pudding, sugar, mayo, vanilla. Add flour.
  2. Grease and flour 2 or 3 round 8" pans. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until cake tester is clean.
  3. Ice with your favorite chocolate icing or use recipe below.
    3/4 cup cocoa
    4 cups XXXX sugar
    1/4 cup butter or margarine
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1/2 cup evaporated milk
    Mix cocoa and sugar. Cream part of mixture with margarine. Blend in vanilla and half of milk.
    Add remaining cocoa and sugar and blend well. Add remaining milk and beat to desired consistency. Add extra milk if needed.
