Ingredients

  • 10 - matzahs
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon granulated instant coffee
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons brandy or liqueur
  • 7 ounces margarine or butter
  • 5 1/2 ounces bitter sweet chocolate
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

How To Make chocolate matza squares

  • Step 1
    Break matzahs into small pieces and put in a large bowl.
  • Step 2
    In a small pot put cocoa powder, coffee, sugar, water and liqueur and bring to a boil. add butter and stir untill dissolved.
  • Step 3
    Pour cocoa mixure over matzahs pieces and mix well to cover all pieces.
  • Step 4
    Pour mixture into 8x13 inches pan. Refrigerate while making the top cover.
  • Step 5
    Melt chocolate in microwave, add peanut butter and mix into a smooth mixture. Pour over matzah mixture and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or for 1/2 hour in the freezer.
  • Step 6
    cut into squares with a sharp knife.
