chocolate kahlua cake

This recipe came from my best friend Kris mother and it's a fun & simple cake...

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecans, in pieces
  • 1 package cake mix, german chocolate
  • 1 package instant chocolate pudding
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup kahlua liquor
  • GLAZE
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup kahlua liquor

How To Make chocolate kahlua cake

  • Step 1
    If cake mix already contains pudding, omit pudding, use 3 eggs and 1/3 cup oil.
  • Step 2
    Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour tube pan. Sprinkle nuts over bottom of pan. Mix remaining ingredients together. Pour over nuts. Bake 1 hour. While hot spoon glaze over cake in pan. Allow cake to absorb glaze. Repeat until glaze is used. Cool in pan. Invert on plate.
  • Step 3
    Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in water and sugar. Boil 5 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in Kahlua.
