chocolate kahlua cake

I'm making Kahlua this year so this is a good recipe to try it out. It calls for Kahlua frosting I'll put it on the next recipe.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter softened
- 2 1/4 cups sugar
- 4 - eggs
- 2 - 1-ounce squares of unsweetened chocolate(meltp
- 1/3 cup kahlua
- 2 1/4 cups cake flour(sifted)
- 1 teaspoon cream of tatar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3/4 cup hazelenuts or pecans, toasted and divided
How To Make chocolate kahlua cake

Step 1Beat butter at medium speed with mixer; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition. Add chocolate and Kahlua; beat until well blended.

Step 2Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix well after each addition.

Step 3Pour batter into 3 greased and floured 9-inch round cakepans. Bake at 350 for 18 to 23 minutes or until a wooden pick comes out clean. Cool in pans completely on wire racks.

Step 4Stir 1/2 cup nuts into 1 cup Chocolate Kahlua Frosting; spread between layers. Spread remaining frosting on top and sides. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cups of nuts on top.
