i found this recipe in the Lexington Herald leader newspaper many years ago around the Holidays.It is a favorite of everyone who eats it.

Ingredients
- CHOCOLATE ITALIAN CREAM CAKE
- 1 box duncan hines moist butter fudge cake mix
- 1 cup pecans -chopped
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1½ cups shredded coconut sweetened
- CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
- 8 OZ'S - cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons of melted butter (little more if too stiff)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 box confectioners' sugar
How To Make chocolate italian cream cake

Step 1Prepare cake mix according to instructions on box.

Step 2add pecans,sour cream and coconut.

Step 3divide batter into 3 round 9" pans

Step 4bake as directed on box.

Step 5cool cake completely

Step 6beat all ingredents of the icing together till smooth frost cake
