1 boxduncan hines yellow or butter cake mix

boxi large and 1 small jello chocolate pudding (not instant)

18 0z container of cool whip or real whipping cream
How to Make CHOCOLATE ICEBOX CAKE
- COOK PUDDING ACCORDING TO DIRECTIONS ON THE BOX. WHEN THE PUDDING IS COOKED PLACE A PIECE OF PLASTIC WRAP DIRECTLY ONTO THE PUDDING SO IT WON'T HAVE A FILM ON THE TOP.
BAKE THE CAKE IN A GREASED 16X9 CAKE PAN, ACCORDING TO THE DIRECTIONS ON THE BOX. WHEN THE CAKE IS DONE LET IT COOL ABOUT 15 MINUTES IN THE PAN BEFORE REMOVING IT TO COOL COMPLETELY. WHEN THE CAKE HAS COOLED COMPLETELY CUT IT DOWN THE CENTER LONGWAYS AND PUT HALF OF IT BACK INTO THE CAKE PAN. SPREAD THE COOLED PUDDING ON TOP OF THE CAKE THEN TOP IT WITH THE COOL WHIP OR WHIP CREAM. KEEP PLACE IT IN THE REFRIGERATOR UNTIL READY TO SERVE.
THE LEFT OVER CAKE CAN BE FROZEN UNTIL READY TO USE OR YOU CAN DOUBLE THE RECIPE AND MAKE 2
