Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- - confectioners' sugar, for dusting
- 1 box cake mix, chocolate fudge
- 1 - 8 oz. packages cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 large egg
- 1 stick butter, room temperature
How To Make chocolate gooey butter cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2In a large bowl with an electric mixer, cream the cream cheese & butter until smooth. Beat in the egg. Then beat in the vanilla extract. Beat in the cake mix. Cover & refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm up so that you can roll the batter into balls.

Step 3Roll the chilled batter into Tbsp sized balls & then roll them in confectioner’s sugar. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet, 2" apart. Bake 12 minutes. The cookies will remain soft & gooey. Cool completely & sprinkle with more confectioners’ sugar.
