chocolate covered cherry brownies
My daughters favorite brownies. Ever since she was a little girl, she would get into my jars of Maraschino cherries when I wasn't looking... I never had any left when needing them for a recipe...so, I always dedicated these brownies to her. This is one of the desserts I am making for her graduation party. I hope you try them... My photos

Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 4 - eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup baking cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups miniature marshmallows
- 1 jar (10 ounces) maraschino cherries, chopped and well drained
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
How To Make chocolate covered cherry brownies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Spray a 9 x 13 baking pan with cooking spray, or grease. Set aside

Step 2In a large bowl, cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs.

Step 3Combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.

Step 4Gradually add to creamed mixture. Spread into greased baking dish. Bake for 28 minutes.

Step 5Sprinkle with marshmallows. Bake 1-2 minutes longer or until marshmallows are soft but not browned.

Step 6Sprinkle with cherries. Cool on a wire rack.

Step 7In a microwave, melt chocolate chips and cream; stir until smooth.

Step 8Drizzle over brownies. Let stand until chocolate is set.
