My daughters favorite brownies.

Ever since she was a little girl, she would get into my jars of Maraschino cherries when I wasn't looking... I never had any left when needing them for a, I always dedicated these brownies to her.

This is one of the desserts I am making for her graduation party.

  • 2 c
  • 1 c
    butter, melted
  • 4
  • 1 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 c
    baking cocoa
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 2 c
    miniature marshmallows
  • 1 jar(s)
    (10 ounces) maraschino cherries, chopped and well drained
  • 1/2 c
    semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp
    heavy whipping cream

How to Make Chocolate Covered Cherry Brownies


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.

    Spray a 9 x 13 baking pan with cooking spray, or grease. Set aside
  2. In a large bowl, cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs.
  3. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
  4. Gradually add to creamed mixture.

    Spread into greased baking dish. Bake for 28 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle with marshmallows. Bake 1-2 minutes longer or until marshmallows are soft but not browned.
  6. Sprinkle with cherries. Cool on a wire rack.
  7. In a microwave, melt chocolate chips and cream; stir until smooth.
  8. Drizzle over brownies. Let stand until chocolate is set.
