So quick and easy with a secret ingredient.
This is so good with your morning coffee or as a dessert for dinner. No need to frost , rich without frosting or dusting of powdered sugar. But that's up to you.

  • 1 Tbsp
    cocoa powder
  • 1 1/4 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1 c
    butter, softened
  • 2 large
  • 1 c
    dairy sour cream
  • 1 1/3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 pkg
    instant chocolate cream of wheat, uncooked
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 Tbsp
    instant espresso powder
  • 1 c
    semi-sweet mini chocolate chips

How to Make Chocolate, Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake


  1. Preheat oven to 350^.
    Coat a
    bundt pan well with non-stick cooking spray, making sure sides are well coated. Sprinkle with 1 Tablespoon of cocoa powder and shake out any excess.
  2. Cream sugar, butter and eggs in a mixing bowl with electric mixer at medium speed. Add sour cream and blend well.
    Add flour, chocolate cream of wheat(dry)*, baking powder, soda and espresso powder.
    Mix well . Stir in chocolate chips.
  3. Bake for 35 minutes or until toothpick test into center comes out clean.
    Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes. Place serving plate over cake pan and turn pan over carefully onto plate; remove pan. Serve cake warm or cool.
    If you don't have chocolate cream of wheat in your area just use 2 packets of regular instant cream of wheat and 1 Tablespoon of cocoa powder mixed into it.
