You will find that this coffee cake made in a Bundt pan is moist and oh so decadent-you will be on chocolate overload! So quick and easy with a secret ingredient. This is so good with your morning coffee or as a dessert for dinner. No need to frost , rich without frosting or dusting of powdered sugar. But that's up to you. we like it without. Enjoy!!!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup dairy sour cream
  • 1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 packages instant chocolate cream of wheat, uncooked
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon instant espresso powder
  • 1 cup semi-sweet mini chocolate chips

How To Make chocolate, chocolate chip coffee cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350^. Coat a bundt pan well with non-stick cooking spray, making sure sides are well coated. Sprinkle with 1 Tablespoon of cocoa powder and shake out any excess.
  • Step 2
    Cream sugar, butter and eggs in a mixing bowl with electric mixer at medium speed. Add sour cream and blend well. Add flour, chocolate cream of wheat(dry)*, baking powder, soda and espresso powder. Mix well . Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Step 3
    Bake for 35 minutes or until toothpick test into center comes out clean. Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes. Place serving plate over cake pan and turn pan over carefully onto plate; remove pan. Serve cake warm or cool. --- *Note: If you don't have chocolate cream of wheat in your area just use 2 packets of regular instant cream of wheat and 1 Tablespoon of cocoa powder mixed into it.
