  • 1 pkg
    yellow cake mix or 1pkge. butter recipe cake mix
  • 1 box
    instant pudding, vanilla, (3oz.)
  • 4
  • 1 c
    sour cream (8 oz.)
  • 1/2 c

  • 1/2 c
    mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c
    chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar, light
  • 1/2 -1 tsp

How to Make Chocolate Chip Sour Cream Coffee Cake


  1. Combine the chocolate chips, walnuts, and cinnamon and brown sugar; set aside.
  2. Combine the cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, oil and sour cream and beat for 2-4 minutes at medium speed.
  3. Pour 1/2 of batter into a greased and floured tube pan. Top with 1/2 topping mixture.
    Pour remainder of batter over the topping and sprinkle rest of topping over the batter.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
  4. Cool in pan on wire rack for 20 minutes, then remove from pan.
    Cool completely on wire rack.
