1In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.Add eggs one at a time,beating well after each addition.Beat in vanilla.Sift
flour,baking powder,baking soda and cinnamon;add to the creamed mixture alternately with pumpkin,beating well after each addition.Fold in chocolate chips
2Divide batter in half. Stir melted chocolate into one portion.In a well greased 10-in.fluted tube pan sprinkle 1/2 cup pecans.Spoon chocolate batter over Pecans;top with pumpkin batter.Sprinkle with remaining pecans.
3Bake at 325-degrees for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 15.minutes before removing from pan to wire rack.
4Chocolate Glaze: Heat all ingredients except water in 1 quart saucepan over low heat,stirring frequently,until chocolate chips are melted.cool about 10 minutes.Stir in hot water,1 teaspoon at a time, until consistency of thick syrup.
5After cake has cooled put on cake plate. drizzle with chocolate glaze.
6the glaze does not have to be added.you could dust it with powdered sugar instead. which ever works for you. Enjoy!
