Really? Oh yeah...you read right...cookie dough in the cupcake...sweet lil treasure!!! I seen this done on another recipe sight...but wanted to switch up a couple things...and, well, use my recipes :) PLEASE: note that you CAN use a cake mix verses the homemade version. PLUS you CAN use store bought cookie dough for that matter too! I sure hope you enjoy these...they are a hit here!!!

Ingredients For chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes

  • COOKIE DOUGH:
  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1 can
    sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 c
    chocolate chips, mini (or a little less)
  • 1/2 c
    pecans, chopped, if desired
  • CAKE BATTER:
  • 1 c
    butter
  • 1 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 3/4 c
    flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/3 c
    buttermilk

How To Make chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes

    Line a cookie sheet with wax paper. COOKIE DOUGH: Mix together all ingredients very well, put in refrigerator for one hour. Then make 1" balls, place on waxed paper lined cookie sheet. Put in freezer for 1/2 an hour.

    In the mean time, preheat oven to 350, and line 24 cupcake holes with liners. CAKE BATTER: In a large mixing bowl beat butter and sugar until light, fluffy and pale in color. Add eggs one at a time, incorporating well after each addition. Add vanilla and beat 3 minutes on high. Sift together flour, powder and salt. Gradually add to batter alternating with milk. Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full and remove cookie dough balls from refrigerator and place one ball in the center of each cupcake, pressing down until half way under.

    Bake in preheated oven at 350 for 20 min. Remove from oven when done and allow to cool in pans 10 min. then remove from pans to a wire cooling rack to cool completely.

    Frost with your favorite frosting. I used a chocolate buttercream. Garnish with a small cookie or a small cookie dough ball.
