I always buy bananas, but inevitably there are always some left! This is a great alternative to making banana bread.

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup butter, softened (1 1/2 sticks)
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon banana extract
- 2 - bananas (ripe, mashed)
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips
- - whipped cream cheese frosting
How To Make chocolate chip banana cupcakes

Step 1Preheat oven to 350*F

Step 2In a medium bowl combine: flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Step 3In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar with electric mixer until light and fluffy.

Step 4Add eggs, vanilla, banana extract, and bananas; mix well.

Step 5Add flour mixture alternately with sour cream; blend thoroughly, but to not overmix.

Step 6Fold mini chocolate chips to batter.

Step 7Scoop a spoonful of batter for each cupcake into the pan.

Step 8Bake 20-25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Step 9Cool completely in pan before adding frosting.
