I love this recipe because it's banana bread in a cake pan!

  • 1 c
    butter or margarine
  • 2 c
  • 2
  • 2 c
    ripe, mashed bananas
  • 6 Tbsp
  • 4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1- 12oz pkg
    chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    chopped walnuts, (optional)

How to Make Chocolate Chip Banana Cake


  1. In a small bowl combine bananas and milk. Set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder and baking soda. Add this mixture to creamed mixture alternately with banana mixture. Mix well.
  4. Fold in chocolate chip and walnuts.
  5. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan and bake at 250-350 until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. About 40-45 minutes.
