Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • FOR THE FROSTING:
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons instant coffee powder

How To Make chocolate cherry cake

  • Step 1
    For the cake; mix the eggs by hand, add the vanilla and cherry pie filling, and combine. Add the cake mix and mix by hand until blended.
  • Step 2
    Pour batter into a jelly roll pan. Bake 350 degrees for 15 - 20 min. Cool.
  • Step 3
    While cake is baking make frosting.
  • Step 4
    Bring milk, sugar, butter, salt and instant coffee to a boil. Boil for one minute. Take off heat and add chocolate chip. Stir until blended. Cool. Frost cake when cake is cool.
