Ingredients
- 8.5 ounces chocolate wafer cookies
- 2 tablespoons butter, unsalted and melted
- FILLING INGREDIENTS
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 3 ounces chocolate, unsweetened
- 9 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
- 12 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 6 - eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar

How To Make chocolate cheesecake with chocolate wafer crust

Step 1To make crust, crush wafers; add melted butter to make crumbly dough.

Step 2Press into bottom of 9-inch springform pan; set aside.

Step 3To make filling, melt butter in top of double boiler over hot water; add chocolates and heat until melted, stirring until smooth.

Step 4Beat cheese until creamy; add vanilla and whipping cream.

Step 5Stir in chocolate mixture; beat eggs with sugar and slowly beat into chocolate mixture.

Step 6Turn into crust and bake at 350 40 to 45 minutes, or until cake puffs slightly in center; cool, then chill thoroughly before unmolding - Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
