I also have a great frosting recipe I use with this cake, everyone has always loved this cake!! *this cake is great for high altitude, I live at almost 9000 feet in the Rocky Mountains, and this cake ALWAYS turns out great!

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup crisco
- 2 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons cocoa, unsweetened
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup soured milk (milk with a shot of vinegar)
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup boiling water
How To Make chocolate cake

Step 1Cut together Sugar and crisco

Step 2Add, eggs, vanilla, cocoa and salt - mix well. Add soured milk and baking soda - mix well. Add flour and boiled water (still hot) - mix well.

Step 3Pour in to lightly greased and floured pan(s). I like to use 2 round cake pans Bake at 350° for about 30 min or until a toothpick comes out clean.
