How to Make Chocolate Cake
1Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour two 9 inch round cake pans.
2In medium bowl measure and sift flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt and baking powder.
3Cream shortening with sugar. Add vanilla, eggs and milk on medium speed.
Reduce speed to low and add flour mixture. Scrape bowl and raise speed to high for 5 minutes.
4Pour batter into pans and bake 30-35 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
Allow to cool completely before filling and frosting.
