My family and friends love this cake. I have to make it a lot for them at holidays and special occasions. I hope you all love it as much as we do. It is a rich cake and very easy to make.

Ingredients
- CAKE INGREDIENTS SIFT TOGETHER FIRST 5 INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 3 tablespoons cocoa, unsweetened
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- ADD TO DRY INGREDIENTS AND MIX WELL AND POUR INTO GREASED 13 X 9 PAN
- 2 sticks butter, melted
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- SAUCE FOR CAKE
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 stick butter
- 1 tablespoon corn syrup, light
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
How To Make chocolate cake

Step 1Mix cake well and pour into a well greased 13 x 9 baking pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. When cake has baked for 30 minutes, start ingredients for the sauce. Use a large sauce pan and start adding the ingredients. Boil for 15 minutes. When cake is done poke holes into cake with a fork and then pour the sauce over the cake while it is still warm. If you like, you can double the sauce ingredients. My family loves the sauce so I do double them. Enjoy!!!
