  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 c
  • 3/4 c
    cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 c
    coffee, boiling
  • 1/2 c
  • 2
  • 1 c

How to Make Chocolate Cake


  1. In large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and baking soda.
  2. Add oil to coffee, then add to dry mixture. Beat mixture as little as possible.
  3. Mix eggs and milk together, then add to the cake batter.
  4. Pour batter into prepared pan(s)
  5. Bake 350 degrees:
    25 - 30 minutes for layered cakes
    1 hour for tube pan
    45 min for 9 X 13 pan
    15 - 20 min for cup cakes
  6. Best with Chocolate Candy Frosting
