Ingredients

  • 10 ounces chocolate bar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 ounce chocolate syrup
  • 4 - eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

How To Make chocolate bar cake

  • Step 1
    Melt chocolate bars in double boiler.
  • Step 2
    Cream margarine and sugar.
  • Step 3
    Add melted chocolate bars.
  • Step 4
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Step 5
    Sift together flour, salt, and soda and add alternately with buttermilk.
  • Step 6
    Add chocolate syrup, vanilla and nuts.
  • Step 7
    Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
