- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter
- 1 - 8 ounce package cream cheese
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 4 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup maraschino cherries, drained and halved
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
How To Make cherry pound cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease and flour an 8 inch tube pan.

Step 2Mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.

Step 3In a large bowl, cream together the butter, crem cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 4Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and almond extract.

Step 5Beat in the flour mixture, mixing just until incorporated.

Step 6Dredge cherries in 1/4 cup flour, then fold into batter.

Step 7Spread into prepared pan.

Step 8Bake in the preheated oven for 80 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
