Ingredients

  • TOPPING
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup crisco butter flavor stick
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • GLAZE
  • 1 cup powered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • CAKE
  • 3/4 cup cisco butter flavor stick
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 medium eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1 can cherry pie filling

How To Make cherry nut coffee cake

  • Step 1
    Topping: Mix sugar and flour-cut in Crisco until crumbly.
  • Step 2
    Cake-Cream Crisco, sugar, extracts in large bowl, add eggs, beat well. Combine flour, soda, salt in medium bowl-add to creamed mixture, alternately with sour cream.
  • Step 3
    Spread half batter in 13 X 9 baking pan, cover with 1/2 pie filling-spread rest of batter and top with the rest of pie filling.
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle with topping mixture. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes or until pick comes clean. Cool until just slightly warm - drizzle with glaze.
