maraschino cherries drained, chopped, save juice
1in large bowl sift dry ingredients together
3add eggs beating well with mixer after each
4add vanilla and beat 2 minutes on high,
5stir in cherries and nuts
6pour into prepared cake pan. two layer or one 13X9
7bake 350 degrees 25 to 30 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
8frost with buttercream frosting. I use the saved cherry juice and almond flavoring to frosting ingredients.
