cherry dump cake
The original recipe called for a can of fruit pie filling and a can of pineapple. We don't like pineapple so I used two 21 ounce cans of pie filling. The original recipe called for two sticks of butter. I used ONE stick of butter instead. I also added walnuts BEFORE I put the butter on. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 stick butter, cold
- 2 cans cherry pie filling - each can is 21 ounce size
- 1 package dark chocolate cake mix
How To Make cherry dump cake

Step 1Spray Pam on the bottom of a 9x13 cake pan. Spread 2 cans of cherry pie filling in the pan. Spread dry cake mix over the cherries. Thinly slice 1 stick of butter and lay the slices on top of the dry cake mix. (Optional: walnuts spread on top)

Step 2Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool and serve with ice cream or cool whip.
