How to Make Cherry Delight Nutty Cake
- Separate cherries from liquid in the pie filling.Blend the liquid into the cake mix and eggs using mixer. When well blended, fold in the cherries.
- Pour into a lightly creased 9 X 13 inch cake pan. Spread evenly over the batter the chopped pecans mixed with the sugar.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes Cool. Frost with Cherry Cream Cheese frosting.
- Cherry Cream Cheese Frosting
Mix 1 package cream cheese, 1 stick butter, 1 cup powdered sugar, and 1/2 cup cherry preserves. Add a little maraschino cherry juice if desired for color.
