This is the easiest recipe that I have. It's amazing how good it tastes with so little work and so little ingredients. Everyone always asks for the recipe and then they can't believe it when they see how easy it is. It's so much fun to come up with the different varieties you can make. The original recipe only uses 3 ingredients, but if you like, you can use one can of cherry pie filling and one can of crushed pineapple. This is a little more moist in my opinion

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 2 cans cherry pie filling
  • 1 stick butter, cut into thin pieces

How To Make cherry crumb dessert

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350- degrees. In a 9x13 inch baking pan, pour in the two cans of cherry pie filling. Sprinkle the cake mix on top of pie mix and top with the sliced butter pieces. Place them all over the top of the cake. Bake in preheated oven for one hour. Serve with ice cream for a delicious treat
  • Step 2
    Here are just a couple of ideas to use this recipe. Layer bottom of dish with two cans of strawberry pie filling. Sprinkle top with a strawberry cake mix. Dot top with butter. Bake at 350 for an hour. Top with whipped cream or strawberry ice cream
  • Step 3
    Use chocolate pudding and pie filling mix (2 cans) and sprinkle top with Devils Food Cake bake for an hour, cool and top with KoolWhip and chocolate syrup
  • Step 4
    Use two cans of applie pie filling. Pour in a small can of crushed pineapple and juice Top with Spice Cake Mix and chopped pecans or walnuts. After baking for an hour, let cool and top with koolwhip and caramel ice cream topping
