Ingredients

  • 1 pound frozen bread dough, thawed
  • 21 ounces cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 8 ounces fat-free cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup skim milk
  • 2 tablespoons unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3 tablespoons butter, cold

How To Make cherry cheese coffee cake

  • Step 1
    On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to a 13 x 9\" rectangle.
  • Step 2
    Place in prepared 13 x 9\" pan.
  • Step 3
    Cover and let rise double in size, 1 hour.
  • Step 4
    In a mixing bowl, combine cherry pie filling and raisins.
  • Step 5
    Spread evenly over dough.
  • Step 6
    In a another mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, granulated sugar, milk, 2 tablespoons flour and almond extract.
  • Step 7
    Pour mixture over cherry mixture.
  • Step 8
    In a small mixing bowl, combine remaining flour and brown sugar.
  • Step 9
    Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Step 10
    Sprinkle mixture over cream cheese layer.
  • Step 11
    Bake in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes.
