1Cut Angel food cake in half, horizontally.
Combine sugar, vanilla, (softened) cream cheese and milk until smooth. Fold in Cool whip. Spread a thin layer of this on the bottom part of the angel food cake. Spread some cherry filling on top. Add top layer of cake and frost entire cake with the remaining creamy mixture. Drizzle remaining cherry filling over cake. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Slice when ready to serve and sit back and take the compliments.
