Ingredients
- CAKE
- 1 box duncan hines yellow cake mix
- ICING
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 16 ounces can cherry pie filling (stir 1 teaspoon almond extract into can of filling)
How To Make cherries on the snow cake

Step 1Using 8-or-9 inch round layer cake pans, make and cool cake as directed on the label.

Step 2Soften cream cheese. Add sugar, milk and vanilla; beat until smooth. Split each layer into two thin layers. Spread 1/2 cup cream cheese mixture and 1/2 cup cherry pie filling between each layer and on top of cake. Store in refrigerator.
