Do you like cheesecake? I love cheesecake. Do you like a really cool presentation? I love a really cool presentation. Well, how about making your cheesecake in a nice jar. The presentation is amazing, and they make wonderful gifts; expecially around the holidays. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

Ingredients

  • PLAN/PURCHASE
  • 3/4 cup cookie crumbs, graham crumbs, your choice
  • 2 tablespoons sweet butter, unsalted, melted
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup sugar, granulated varitey
  • 1 tablespoon clover fresh honey
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1 large farm fresh egg
  • - blueberries or other topping of your choice

How To Make cheesecake in a jar

  • Step 1
    PREP/PREPARE
  • Step 2
    Gather your ingredients.
  • Step 3
    Place a rack in the bottom position, and preheat the oven to 325f (165c).
  • Step 4
    Add the butter to the cookie crumbs.
  • Step 5
    Mix until combined.
  • Step 6
    Divide the crumb mixture between three or four small jars, and press into the bottoms.
  • Step 7

    Add the cream cheese, sugar, and honey to a bowl.

    Beat until thoroughly combined.
  • Step 10
    Add the egg and sour cream.
  • Step 11
    Continue to beat until the mixture is combined.
  • Step 12
    Divide the cheesecake batter between the jars.
  • Step 13
    Add the jars to a small, high-walled pan.
  • Step 14
    Place in the oven, and fill the pan halfway up with boiling water.

    Chef's Note: By cooking the jars in a water bath, you're giving them a nice steady heat to cook in.

    Bake until the cream cheese sets, about 20 to 25 minutes.

    Chef’s Note: There will still be a bit of a jiggle in the centers.

    Cover the jars, and cool in the refrigerator for 1 or 2 hours.

    Add your favorite topping, and serve. Enjoy.
