I got this recipe from 2 Aunts-Doreen Snow and Margaret Mallas. This was one of my favorite Christmas desserts that I always looked forward too and my family loves it as well.

Serves:
16 squares

Ingredients

  • 20
    graham crackers, crushed
  • 1/4 c
    butter, margarine, melted
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese
  • 2 Tbsp
    milk
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 small
    pkg cool whip
  • 1 can(s)
    cherry pie filling (blueberry will also work)

How to Make Cheese and Cherry Dessert

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. Combine 1st 3 ingredients. Mix well. Spoon into 11x13 baking dish. Pat down evenly. Bake for 18 min. Remove and cool completely.
  3. Combine cream cheese and milk and beat until smooth.
  4. Add: the 1 cup sugar. Beat well. Set aside.
  5. Fold cool whip into cream cheese mix. Spread evenly over crust completely covering. Spread pie filling evenly over top and chill several hrs before serving. Keep leftovers chilled.
