Absolutely the best Pineapple cake I have ever eaten.....This recipe was handed down from 3 generations of Church of God grandmothers that cooked for all the church folk for many years.....

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • FILLLING
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 can large pineapple crushed
  • 1 large container of cool whip

How To Make caterers' pineapple cake

  • Step 1
    Cook yellow cake mix according to directions on the box
  • Step 2
    Filling: Mix eggs and sugar then add pineapple and margarine. Cook then on medium until margarine melts. Dont let it scortch. Put holes in each layer with a toothpick and pour some of this mixture between each layer and on top. Refrigerate and right before serving ice the cake with cool whip.
