2 tspbaking powder
1/4 csoftened, butter
1 csugar - divided
1/4 tspalmond extract
1 can(s)tart pitted cherries, drained - reserve juice
Slicedalmonds. - optional
How to Make ~ Cass's Cherry Pie Cobbler Cake ~ So Delicious!
- Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
Thoroughly grease a 9 inch deep dish pie plate or an 8 inch square baking dish.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Set aside.
Drain cherries, reserving liquid and enough water to make 3/4 cup. Set aside.
Cream 1/ 2 cup sugar with butter, until fluffy. Mix in almond extract.
To the sugar mixture, alternate, beating in milk and flour mixture, ending with flour. Making sure is thoroughly blended.
