Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups grated carrot
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powder sugar
  • 1/4 ounce cream cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup butter softened

How To Make carrot cake

  • Step 1
    Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, sugar, sift together.
  • Step 2
    Beat 2 eggs, veg.oil, vanilla, add dry ingredients mixing well. Add carrots and nuts. Pour into greased cake pans and bake 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Let cake cool and make frosting Mix butter, cream cheese and vanilla and add powder sugar. You can do the two layers or split the two layers into 4. Frost each layer. then frost the entire cake.
