Ingredients

  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 c
    oil
  • 4
    eggs
  • 2 c
    sifted flour
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 3 c
    grated carrot
  • 1/2 c
    chopped pecans

How to Make Carrot Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Grease and flour bundt pan or 2-9in rounds
  3. Combine sugar and oil; add eggs, beat well.
  4. Add flour with other dry ingredients.
  5. Slowly mix in carrots and pecans.
  6. Bake for 35 minutes or til done. (For bundt: cool for about 30 minutes and then turn upside down on a serving plate & cool completely)
  7. Frost with your favorite Cream Cheese frosting
  8. *Sometimes my mom would add raisins to the mix before pouring into pan
